My First Reiki Circle Experience

Reiki Circle with Gabby - Spirit + Soul Studio Babylon, NY
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, I attended the class entitled, Reiki Circle with Gabby at the metaphysical store Spirit + Soul Studio in Babylon, NY.
I had never attended a formal Reiki Circle before, so I was very excited to experience it. Gabby, the leader, warmly welcomed me into the circle and helped me feel at ease as I was feeling a tiny bit anxious/nervous. I wasn’t sure what to expect quite honestly. Even though I am a Reiki Level I and II Practitioner, I still felt the jitters. The shared space that Gabby created felt safe and loving throughout the entire class.
She started off by setting an intention for the night followed by saging the room and everyone inside the circle. Once the air was cleared, she began a grounding meditation as we closed our eyes and fell deeper and deeper into a peaceful state. After the grounding meditation, Gabby started by going from person to person performing reiki. Soon after she began, a few other group members joined in with giving reiki. In a reiki circle/share, if you are attuned, you are welcome, even encouraged, to join in with performing reiki on the circle members.
After all the circle members received, she closed off the meeting with an affirmation. Once our eyes were open and we were sitting up, we shared our experience from the evening and grabbed an oracle card from the altar that was displayed (picture included). To sum it up, we journaled about our experience to conclude the night.
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! I look forward to getting my Reiki Master Teacher license this April 2025 so I too can hold Reiki Circles monthly to be able to share beautiful, enlightening energy to my clients.
